New Projects in Ca Mau Province

Under VietGAP standards, the People’s Committee of Ca Mau Province plans to increase integrated rice-shrimp farming tenfold to 10,000 hectares by 2020, mainly in the Thoi Binh, U Minh and Tran Van Thoi districts.  It’s part of the provincial plan to develop 45,000 hectares of mixed rice-shrimp, rice-crab, rice-prawn and rice-vegetable farming, which is expected to produce an output of 200,000 metric tons of food by 2020.  The plan will also focus on improving irrigation systems.
