Washington, DC—Subsidy Ruling Friday, September 20, 2013

The International Trade Commissioon vote on whether to go forward with shrimp subsidy duties will be held Friday, September 20, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., one day later than originally scheduled.

There are six commissioners.  They will vote, but won’t give any explanations or speeches.  The result should be known by 11:15 a.m., or so.

In order for the duties to be nullified, it would take four negative votes.  A three/three tie constitutes an affirmative determination because of the way USA trade laws are written.
