Shrimp Farming Cluster Development

To enhance its seafood exports, Pakistan’s Export Development Board has allocated $1.7 million to a project titled “Shrimp Farming Cluster Development”.  The Ministry of Commerce provided the funding, and the Fisheries Development Board will supervise the project.

The project will be developed in the Thatha and Baddin Districts of Sindh Province.  With the goal of establishing a cluster of shrimp farms along the Indian Ocean, it will encourage private-sector investment.
