Suryamitra Gets Four Stars From BAP

National Fish & Seafood (NFS) has helped another Indian shrimp and seafood producer and distributor, Suryamitra Exim.  Ltd., achieve Four Star Certification (feeds, hatchery, farm and processing) from the Global Aquaculture Alliance’s (GAA) Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) program.  Suryamitra is the second Indian seafood operation to get the four-star recognition.

The effort was coordinated by USA-based NFS, a division of Pacific Andes International Holdings Limited, which sources shrimp from Suryamitra.  Earlier this month, Penver Products, Ltd., in conjunction with NFS, became India’s first group to achieve four-star BAP status for shrimp.
