Cyclone Phailin Floods Shrimp Farms in Odisha

 

 

Manoranjan Panda, vice president of the Odisha Shrimp Farmers’ Association, said Cyclone Phailin caused an estimated $57 million worth of damage to shrimp farms in the state of Odisha (formerly called Orissa).  Most of the damage was caused by flooding.
