Honduras, Nicaragua and Ecuador

Seajoy Update

Seajoy, which farms shrimp in Honduras, Nicaragua and Ecuador has made changes in the way it farms juveniles, and the initial results are showing “very good results”, said Brad Price, vice president of operations and sales.  Seajoy produced about 19 million pounds of shrimp in 2015, down a million pounds from 2014 because of droughts and diseases fueled by El Niño.  “We are confident we will see higher production as new measures are doing well so far,” said Price.
