How To Place a Classified Ad
on the Free News Page

Hi, I've made it easy for you to place classified advertisements at the bottom of the Free News Page.

You get a short paragraph (500 characters, count the spaces between the words, see examples below).  Up to 50 characters at the beginning of the ad will be placed in bold, followed by a colon.  Think of the first 50 characters as your attention getter. Put a colon after it, so I know where to end the bold and begin the ad.

Prepare your ad in a word processing program and keep a copy of it handy because you will need to copy and paste it into my order form.

I will activate the email and web addresses in your ad so that readers can simply click on them to contact you.

Prices:

One Week, $60.
Four Weeks, $140 ($35 a week).
Six Months, 24 Weeks, $600 ($25 a week).
One Year, 48 Weeks, $1,000 ($21 a week).

For the six-month and one-year ads, you can update or change the ad once a month. The one-year ads will be placed at the top of the list, followed by the six-month, four-week and one-week ads.  Within those groups, it will be the order in which they arrived—"first-in" at the top.

Before you start the ordering process (below), make sure you have a copy of your ad handy because you will need to copy it from your word processing program and paste it into my order form. When you get to the order form, I will tell you exactly where to paste it.

In July 2007, the Shrimp News website received 21,215 "visits" (a conservative way of estimating website traffic).  That's more than 5,000 visits a week, up more than 100% from July 2006.  I use The Webalizer (http://www.mrunix.net/webalizer) to analyze web traffic.
