Skretting’s New Shrimp Feed Plant

Skretting Vietnam has opened a new, 23,000-square-meter, state-of-the-art, shrimp feed plant in Long An Province (Mekong Delta), with an initial production capacity of 60,000 metric tons annually.  Skretting is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Nutreco feed group.

Alex Obach, managing director at Skretting Aquaculture Research Centre (ARC), said the firm’s shrimp feed, “Lorica,” is designed to shield shrimp during challenging phases in their lifecycle, including transfer and handling.  Furthermore, its unique formulation delivers invaluable support to the defense mechanisms of shrimp, enabling them to better cope with stress factors.
