Camposol’s Financial Results, Third Quarter 2017

For the first nine months of 2017, Camposol—the leading agro industrial company in Peru, which harvests, processes and markets high-quality avocados, blueberries and shrimp—reported earnings (EBITDA) of $79.7 million, 100% higher than the same period in 2016.  Revenues were $241 million, up 37% compared to the same period in 2016.  These increases are mainly due to higher volumes and prices for avocados and higher volumes of shrimp from its intensive shrimp ponds.  It plans to continue the expansion of its intensive shrimp farming operations.

As of September 30, 2017, Camposol had a cash balance of $36 million.  Jorge Ramirez Rubio, CEO of Camposol, said, “Our strategic decision to focus on fresh and healthy products and serving retailers directly through our international commercial platform continues delivering strong results.  Along these lines, we are happy to announce the opening of our third commercial office in Shanghai, China....”
