Suspends Imports of Honduran Shrimp

 

Mexico suspends shrimp imports from Honduras because of the alleged presence of shrimp yellowhead virus in Honduras.

 

In 2016, according to figures from the National Association of Aquaculture Producers of Honduras (ANDAH), Mexico imported 13.9 million pounds of shrimp from Honduras.  In 2017, through September, Mexico imported 10.24 million pounds of shrimp from Honduras.
